Day-by-Day Itinerary

Forbidden City in Beijing
Day 1

Palaces and old Beijing lanes

Build the day around the confirmed palace reservation. Keep nearby lanes as flexible time; if entry is unavailable, agree a replacement day or a different museum before travelling.

Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing
Day 2

Great Wall and imperial gardens

Treat the Great Wall as the main excursion. Choose one section and agree the access point and walking needs. Summer Palace is an alternative city outing if a combined day would be rushed.

Day 3

Temples, art and modern landmarks

Choose either a temple-focused morning or an art-district visit, then add one nearby stop. Do not assume Temple of Heaven, 798 and the Olympic area all fit comfortably before departure.

Practical Notes

  • Start early for popular Beijing attractions and better photos.
  • Private transfers keep the route efficient, especially across larger scenic zones.
  • Meals, ticket timing and walking intensity can be adjusted before booking.

Three days or five days in Beijing?

This three-day reference uses Mutianyu. The published five-day journey uses Badaling and sets aside arrival and departure days. Compare the complete plans before deciding: the shorter route is not the five-day journey with two days removed.

For this three-day idea, send your dates, usable sightseeing time, preferred Great Wall section and walking needs. Identify it as the Beijing three-day reference in your enquiry; availability, tickets and service scope need an individual quotation.
